RELIVING HISTORY: FIRST PASSENGER TRAIN

To celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the first passenger train to arrive in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the Calico Rock Museum presents “Reliving History: First Passenger Train” on Saturday, August 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Main Street (Highway 5 at the White River). At 11:00 a.m. a freight train will stop at the Main Street crossing for a ceremony. Also that day there will be a contest for the Best Costumes depicting 1903 railroad workers and train passengers and a contest for the Best Dessert. FBNC Bank is sponsoring a miniature train ride for children. Music, food and more finish out the day.
