Youth Day Camps Continue at Ozark Folk Center State Park

Second Day Camp Offers Immersive Environment for Youths

Ozark Folk Center State Park is holding its second Youth Day Camp July 7-11 for youths aged 8-12. The cost of the camp is $60 per child, and scholarships are available. These summer day camps are a favorite among the youth of the area.

“This camp is about passing along traditions both old and new, while having a whole lot of fun,” said Mary Gillihan, park interpreter and camp coordinator. “Campers really enjoy the variety of activities, including a new one this year of making rolled paper beads. We also spend a day exploring Ozark National Forest, having a picnic lunch, discovering animals that live in our Ozark creeks and swimming.”

Every Day Camp offered at Ozark Folk Center State Park challenges the kids and expands their appreciation for themselves, their fellow campers and our world. To register for the Day Camp or inquire about scholarships, call the state park at 870-269-3851.
