Skillet Restaurant Names New Manager
Jessica Sterlin named Skillet Restaurant Manager at the Ozark Folk Center State Park
Mountain View ¾Jessica Sterlin, a native of Mountain View, has been selected as the Restaurant Manager for the Skillet Restaurant at Ozark Folk Center State Park. Ms. Sterlin had been serving as the Assistant Restaurant Manager for the last year.
“We are very happy to have Jessica in this position,” said Park Superintendent John Morrow. “Jessica’s attention to detail, her knowledge of the food service industry and her excellent customer service skills will help us continue and expand the quality our customers expect at the Skillet Restaurant.”
Jessica has prepared herself to manage the Skillet Restaurant and is knowledgeable in food service with 15 years of progressive experience in the Arkansas State Park
restaurant system. She serves on the Department’s Restaurant Committee, which sets standards for all Arkansas State Park restaurants. Jessica has also spent 1 year in the private sector followed by 3 years with Food Service for the Department of Corrections before returning to the Skillet Restaurant in August of 2012 as the Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Jessica has been serving with the Arkansas Air National Guard for the past 14 years in the 189th Force Support Unit at the Little Rock Air Force Base. Currently a Staff Sergeant, she has served in Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Jessica’s formal food service training has come from the Guard. Jessica’s other interest includes playing the drums for her church on the Praise and Worship team.
Jessica loves visiting with people, family and friends and states that the “Skillet Restaurant is the best it has ever been, because we make every guest feel welcome and provide the best quality food service in the area.”
The Skillet Restaurant at Ozark Folk Center State Park, which has been in operation for 40 years, is a Mountain View landmark. The Restaurant hours are 7 am to 8 pm daily through November 30, 2013 and available for special bookings all year long.
