“MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS” BRINGING BACK THE 60’S

The “Music in the Mountains Show” will return Saturday night June 8th, 6:00 p.m. at the Horseshoe Bend Theatre. The show which is usually performed the third Saturday night is a week earlier than usually scheduled.

The Hwy 289 Band will be bringing back songs from an era filled with wonderful hits from groups such as the Beatles, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Hermans Hermits, Mamas and the Papas, Connie Francis, as well as country artists from Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, to Johnny Cash. There may possibly be a few “surprise guests” appear from the era. Special guest Eric Sitton of Melbourne will be sitting in with the Hwy 289 Band and the winner of the ICC Talent Contest (judged by the Hwy 289 Band) ICC 8th Grader Arica McGruther will perform. Cast members Ed Luedke, Ron Hart, and Jerry Kipper are also scheduled to appear.

Everyone attending is encouraged to dress in 60’s attire, and invited to “Sock Hop” to the music in the front stage area. Show starts at 6:00 p.m., the hamburger grill fires at 5:00 p.m.
