Let Your Inner Cat Play During Fiber Frenzy Weekend at the Ozark Folk Center State Park

Mountain View, Arkansas – – Do your eyes light up at the sight of yarn? Do you love the feel of woven fabric? Do you like to make beautiful things with your own hands? Then you might just be a fiber artist!

Fiber Frenzy at the Ozark Folk Center State Park on August 9 and 10 is two days of spinning, sharing, dyeing, combing, sheep, goats, rabbits and lots of fun. Classes are offered in fiber arts such as Felted Sculpture; Off-loom Weaving; Blending Fibers and Colors with a Hackle; Angora rabbit workshop; Understanding Icelandic Fleece; Simply Shetland; Sari Silk Safari; Beginning Spinning; Natural Dyeing and much more. There will be areas set aside to visit with other fiber artists and share ideas and techniques. We’ll have a shopping area with fiber arts and equipment vendors. Shop for a whole fleece, your next loom, spinning wheel or lots of pretty fiber.

The registration fee of $40 covers your admission to the park for both days and your registration for any classes you want to take.
