Arkansas Craft School in Mountain View Announces Summer Craft Camp for Kids!

 

Are the kids out of school and already needing some artistic stimulation? Are the grandkids coming to visit and you need a fun thing for them to do? Sign them up for the Kid’s Summer Craft Camp at the Arkansas Craft School. Five days of intensive summer fun with Miss Anya and Miss Coral June 10 – June 14 in Mountain View. Tuition for the five days is $75.00 and scholarships are available. Summer Craft Camp will incorporate five days of fun and creativity. Class for kids ages 7 – 9 will meet from 9:00 – 12:00. After lunch, kids ages 10 – 12 will meet from 1:00 – 4:00. Students will have time for in-depth exploration of various projects including creative bookmaking, painting and drawing, sculpture, collage and more. Join us for some zany creative fun with new and old friends!

Instructor Anya Bruhin graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she earned a B.A. in Studio Arts, specializing in photography and ceramics; and has been teaching art classes in the Pea Ridge school system for five years. Brilliant paintings of mermaids, animals and flowers as well as whimsical and intriguing sculptures are the hallmarks of Coral McCallister and her Art Studio. Coral received her Fine Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma and she was Biological Illustrator for their Zoology Department for 17 years. She also taught Ceramics and Drawing at the Firehouse Art Center in Norman, OK; and at the City Arts Center in Oklahoma City.

 

The Arkansas Craft School, located in Mountain View, Arkansas is dedicated to the education of aspiring and practicing craft artisans for success in the Creative Economy. The Craft School partners with Ozarka College which offers Continuing Education credits for all of its courses.
