The Batesville Area Arts Council hosted a gallery reception on Thursday, August 21st  for its current exhibition that features artwork created by local children, grades K through 6th. Students attended the reception and were awarded with a certificate for participating in the show. Artwork in the exhibition was created during BAAC’s summer art workshop that was held July 28th – August 1st. The theme for this year’s workshop and exhibition was “In the Jungle”, where students learned about jungle animals and plants. The students participated in creating a jungle art installation, which can be viewed in the windows of the BAAC Gallery on Main at 226 E. Main Street.  The 2014 Kid’s Art Exhibition will be on display until September 19th.
